Beyond large number of registered voters of 7.4m in Lagos, the crucial issue is securing voters right to cast their votes for their preferred candidates. If security agents and their protected thugs are prevented from invading polling units to threaten and harass anyone that looks like an Igbo- as they did in 2023 during the governorship election- Bola Tinubu will get a deserved wipping at the poll in Lagos state. Reality is that the demography favours Peter Obi, and his organic supporters from his clan, alongside those traumatised by the microeconomic policy options of his Administration. And if they are planning an induced glitch, the opposition are not going to be taken by surprise by a partisan INEC, as results, captured at the polling units, would be flying about on the internet. Reality is that technology which is not a preserve of government alone would be deployed by the opposition. Anarchy looms, if anyone is preparing to win by security/INEC- backed rigging
