This paper intends to focus on the perils of the old economic order which necessitated the North-South Dialogue that resulted in what has been described as the New International Economic Order, then go on to discuss the social problems and goals of a new international economic order. It will be concluded with a special reference to the place and role of the so-called Non-Aligned Movement in the new economic order, with particular reference to African states.
