Introductory remarks
Let me congratulate the management of Freedom Online media organisation for its ability to survive the harsh economic climate this past one year and, therefore, its being able to keep many people off the lane of unemployment. It is also important to felicitate the organisation for not just being a part of a crowded terrain, but also for its ability to maintain a credible presence. And in spite of the deluge of online newspapers and news blogs that crowd the cyberspace, it is noteworthy that Freedom Online is relevant among the socio-economic relevancies. In popular parlance, ‘if you know, you know’. But I assure you, we know and that is precisely why we are here choosing to honour them despite other pressing needs on our time and energy.
