The social psychology and political sensibility of the present youthful generation, the so-called GenZ, continue to amaze me.When you think you have seen the worst of their idiocy, they continue to raise the bar of disappointment, far above the absurd and ridiculous height, bordering on shamelessness, the worst of such in recent time was the trolling of the uncompromising human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, for keeping a safe distance from imminent danger of being ‘accidentally’ killed by operatives of state who chose to fire live ammunitions at peaceful protesters.I then realise that the road block to any radical transformation of the Nigeria condition, especially in the interest of the underprivileged, is the absence of class consciousness amongst the poor and the disadvantaged who would rather subscribe to the spirit of the Stockholm syndrome by celebrating the triumph of iniquity of power over equity, fairness, and justice.
